2019 Predictions!

The same can be said about Vanguard last year (basketball court). For me, it all has to do with the overall design. I don't care if you're spread out for end zone to end zone or march only between the 40s, if the design is great, it's great. I felt the both 2015 Crown and 2018 Vanguard had spectacular designs. What Crown did was really remarkable, because IMOnsfe they started with a 4th place show that was blah and literally every single design change or addition they did along the way worked and transformed that show into a championship caliber show. That's really hard to do.

Musically, I found many of the embellishments and additions to the music book in 2015 crown throughout the season made the show worse (in my opinion). They strayed further and further from the source music with the changes they made just to flex their ability to play a lot of notes very fast

I find myself listening to the early season recordings of that show more often than the finals tape for this reason

this might torque some folks... but a revision.

1. SCV/Bluecoats

2. SCV/Bluecoats / BD

3. Bluecoats / BD

4. Crown/Boston

5. Crown/Boston

6. Cadets???/Cavaliers

7. Cadets???/Cavaliers

Note: I know nothing about Cavaliers show, but their score.

I'm operating on the assumption that you can't compare across shows (but... you kinda can, especially when the figures come out similar 2 nights in a row).

So, you think that if SCV doesn't finish first, they will be 8th or worse?

I'm pretty confident right now that they will be 1st... But put them in 3 way for second.

Whoever ends up 6th this year is gonna be the best 6th place corps ever.

They are definitely gonna be jam up for sure. Gonna be hard to beat 2010 PR for best 6th place ever show though IMHO.

I would suggest that comparisons are still not possible. The East Coast is too high and that is for all. The scales some of the judges are using are simply not in line with California and the Midwest. What makes more sense when you adjust is something like this.

1- Bluecoats 78.8

2- SCV 78.55

3- Blue Devils 78.15

4-  Crown 78.0

and there is tour top 4

5) Boston 77.0

6)  Cavaliers 75.85

and there is your top 6

7-  Blue Stars 73.7

8 -  Cadets  73.4

9 - Blue Knights 72.9

10 - Mandarins 71.85

11 - Crossmen 71.4

12 - Spirit 70.0

13- Phantom 69.0

14- Academy 67.2

15- Colts  66.5

and editorial comment, after watching the last few nights, Cavaliers are going to improve and they DO have a show. Bring on some new judges. Blue Knights are pretty #### good and watch out for Academy

You pretty much have my line up fleshed out to a hard prediction.

Cadets percussion is pulling some good numbers (edging BAC... and Boston isn't exactly easy to top in that area).

I think Cadets will cover some placement ground on their technical achievement.
