Levi Stubbs was the MAN!!! Circa 1983... fairly late in their recording career... they did a beautiful ballad called "I Believe in You and Me." Levi absolutely sings the bejesus out of it:

Sinéad O’Connor’s version was just more popular. Yup, Prince wrote the song in 1984 and recorded it in 1985. Sinead O'Connor did her cover in 1990. We’re all armchair show designers, so what kind of show would YOU want to see in 2020? Okay, your turn. Two words...shows that are less cerebral 😊 1
KeithHall
Would LOVE to see all corps cater to the people who buy the tickets! Play music that is recognizable and make the show FUN for the performers and the fans! What a concept! Designers might be able to outdo themselves OR NOT!

If you have no idea what they're doing or why, then you won't know if it sucks or not.

Over the years I, and I presume others, have heard music I previously did not know but enjoyed when corps played it and performed it. Some was quite fun.
