BRASSO
The last "new to Finals" corps was Cascades in 2002. I thought it might have been Crown, but you are correct that the Cascades made Finals in 2002 ( their one and only foray into the World Class Div. Top 12... so far anyway. ) Edited January 29, 2014 by BRASSO
BRASSO
Crown is +35 wins head-to-head vs Cadevaliers in the past 5 years. And 2011 is the only year in which the Cadevaliers showed any sort of dominance. source : bknights.org head to head stats Since 1976, The Cadevaliers have won 32 out of the 38 DCI World Class Division Championships ( shared with Phantom in a tie in '96 ). Thats an astonishing 85% of all the Titles won by just 3 Drum Corps in close to 4 decades of competition results. My prediction is that over the next 35 years, that percentage will be approximately the same, give or take 5% either way. But who knows. Its only prediction season here now anyway, where nobody is right and nobody is wrong, and I could be shown to be dead wrong after I'm dead and gone sometime in the next 35 years. Cainan
1. Crown .. A dynasty begins 2. Santa Clara .. Will be neck and neck with Crown 3. Bluecoats .. They have some of the best brass books over the last decade 4. Scouts .. Things are well and truly turned around 5. Blue Devils .. That's right. 5th. Not a reflection on them, just everybody around them has gotten better 6. Phantom .. Same as above 7. Cadets .. Just a hunch 8. Cavaliers .. I can see them falling deep into the bottom half of Top 12 over the next decade 9. Boston .. Again, just a hunch 10. Troopers .. Should have been top 12 last season 11. Spirit of Atlanta .. Entertainers always have a place in finals 12. Blue Knights .. No reason other than I think that there will be a definite gulf between Top 12 and Semis. EDA16
I don't understand why people are putting BD so low. They didn't have a huge number of age outs and they still have their same amazing staff. I really don't see them dropping from the top 2 or 3 anytime soon. afd
BD in 5th and Cadets in 7th. What the hell are you smoking?
Rannec
BD in 5th and Cadets in 7th. What the hell are you smoking? I concur. Cadets haven't placed lower than 5th since 91. BD no lower than 4th since, you guessed it, 91. Your hunch is more like a stretch.
drumcorpsfever
Has it ever been tougher to crack the top 6? For that matter, surviving the last cut to make it to Saturday night? Since placement predictions are next to impossible at this time, I will make my prediction based on alphabetical order of the top 6, and then corps 7-12: (you know... ya' never know...:>) 1. Bluecoats 2. Blue Devils 3. Cadets 4. Crown 5. Phantom 6. Vanguard 7. Blue Knights 8. Cavaliers 9. Crusaders 10. Madison 11. Spirit 12. Troopers

I don't see the Madison Scouts besting the Blue Devils anytime this decade. But I will have whatever you're having.
