BRASSO
The last good junior show was at Hofstra run by the Sunrisers many many years ago.It featured Boston,@7th Lancers,,The Pacers, sorry don't rember the others but it had 6-7 corps and a packed stadium.l think it was in 66=or 67. DCI will have 4 DCI shows this summer in Iowa..... IOWA ! 2 in New York.... none in New Jersey. (the only one in NJ that DCI scheduled , rained out too ) Nothing against Iowa here either... but this is no recommended model for substantive growth of fans, Corps, future TV exposure possibilities, etc.... no matter how some might try and spin this. ( haha!) Edited July 24, 2016 by BRASSO
Eleran
Cadets are further west & Crossmen are further south than Crown. So there!! haha Wait what? Are you actually saying that Cadets are further west than Crown?
bluesman
Blue Devils- West Santa Clara Vanguard- West Bluecoats- East(Midwest) The Cadets- East Carolina Crown- East(South) The Cavaliers- Midwest Phantom Regiment- Midwest Blue Knights- Rocky Mountains Blue Stars- Midwest Crossmen- South Madison Scouts- Midwest The Academy- West (Boston Crusaders- East) I mean it's not like ridiculously poorly distributed. It's literally fine. Is Texas really the South? Ask anyone that lives here and they'll tell you "TEXAS is like a whole other country". FlamMan
Fred, I gave you a "Like" and I wanted to quote your post to show my support for your idea of awarding Gold Medals to corps that score within a few percentage points of each other at the top. It is NOT a crazy idea, it rewards achievement at the highest levels, and it is already being done in other sports around the world. Everyones a winner! Participation trophies for everyone! I hope DCI is listening to innovative ideas like yours that advance the activity and recognize greatness.
corps8294
Ohio is considered part of the Midwest...so I'd put The Bluecoats in with the Midwest corps. I know they had those years when they flip-flopped between DCM and DCE.
