Most Technically Excellent Show You Have Seen (Live)

There is already a nice thread about your most favorite show, so I thought it would be nice to get some thoughts on the most technically excellent show.

What I am looking for here are not your favorites shows, or your favorite corps playing your favorite music. I'd like you to think about the most technically excellent drum corps you have ever seen, preferably live in person. This could be a corps whose show was not so entertaining (or maybe it was) and where demand was very high and the performance of brass, percussion, guard, and marching excellence were simply masterful. This may also include a corps that stages well or uses props well. But mainly we are looking for technical excellence of the marching member, not whether the staff gave the corps a great general effect product or whether fans liked the show.

For some these two pop in to my head

1995 cavaliers

1997 BD

2015 Crown is an interesting choice considering it's a show that got passed up on finals night due to a lack of technical proficiency

Yes, it was a show that got passed up by being completely hosed at finals. This is probably the biggest shaft I've seen. The best corps, with the best show got hosed finals night.

Respectfully disagree. Crown had a rough run finals night. BD was on fire. BD won fair and square.

Crown hada rough run. Event the staunchest crown homers acknowledged that after finals

I was there at finals and at semi finals and at prelims and several shows beforehand and even at rehearsals in Dayton days  before finals week. Crown had a bad run at finals. Sorry ... it wasn't nearly as good as semis or prelims. I wanted Crown to win but when they were done on Saturday night, I knew they were done. They weren't hosed by the judges. They hosed themselves.

I saw it more as Crown had a brilliant run at the 2015 Semifinals, of the kind rarely seen by any corps, and slipped merely to sheer excellence at Finals, i.e., where they had been relative to BD at Prelims two days earlier, just over a half-point ahead of the Devils (before accounting for the penalty). But then I hold lots of heretical views.

But that's not the topic of the thread.

Look!  Goalposts!
