It's a fantastic line up they're missing, simply because....corps not wearing military-esque uniforms makes everything else too unbearable to even fathom attending?

Friend of mine, after seeing the corps perform last night in Houston (for more than 30k in the audience, I might add) said "this might be the first uniform jacket you can keep wearing once the season is over..." Lots left when the Corps eliminated the Colors Presentations. Others when the Bridgemen and Velvet Knights showed up in what was referred to as " costumes " instead of uniforms in the early 70's. Heck there were fans ( and even brass instructors)hat left in 1961 when the Contra Bass was added to the brass lines... haha!.. it was deemed " too bandish " in their eyes. But when some fans left, other fans replaced them. I'm sure when these DCI groups add the woodwinds, they'll be current fans ( and instructors ) that'll leave too,... but soon replaced then as well with those newer fans and instructors that will actually enjoy the sound of the woodwinds in their modern version of the Drum & Bugle Corps. With some folks, each new change from traditional D&BC has moved them closer to the I'm out of here door. But, the folks I'm referencing, have hung in there through all the changes. But, with many more corps switching to theme based costume's this year, that was it for them.
