The judges picked BD in 2015 because they were the best on Finals night. The score was close, but it is not like Crown lost by 1 or 2 tenths. BD has been the position more than any other corps of having their best performance the week before Finals or even at Semi's and ending up in 2nd the night of Finals. Since you didn't feel like answering my question, I'll be nice enough to answer yours. On its face, the answer to that question is indeed an insult to the Bluecoats. The only difference here is that this is being told to a Blue Devils member privately and no one else, so it isn't something to necessarily get upset about. How is saying such a thing on an open forum any different from saying it to their face? Because this forum discusses the activity as a whole. There will always be disagreements about who should have won for whatever reason. When I say Crown should have beaten BD because their show was better is not the same thing as telling the 3rd snare drummer in that they did not deserve to win. Sometimes I think that people forget that (as far as I know) no one is disparaging any of the performers on the field. Because they are two sides of the same coin. As your answer shows. Last year I told a corps director that I thought his show should have placed one position better than it did. Was that wrong of me?
