We can all feel vindicated or be crushed by reality in a couple of weeks 🙂 Cavaliers have not finished lower than 10th in 40 years however... lol ( 1982 to be precise ). Enjoy the summer of Drum Corps, and welcome to DCP as a new poster.
karuna
Not gonna revise my predictions (this IS the pre-season prediction thread right?) but SCV certainly did impress tonight. As for the silliness above (Cavies in 11 ) , I can only say: uh huh uh huh uh huh.

I repeat no one will beat them in Brass, as they play more notes in part two than the entire Boston show combined. Their book is insane and only can be compared to 2012 from a level of difficulty perspective. Sorry if this is a strong opinion or it hurts feelings. -Carry on! Ok, good, so yeah, Crown will be getting the Ott again this year, even if it’s dirty to begin the season, they also definitely have the demand few corps can touch on a good year. I haven’t heard a lick from crown this year, but it still simply seems they won’t be touched this year in that department.

Boston Crusaders (win brass, percussion) 3. Blue Devils (win visual) 4. Carolina Crown 5. Santa Clara Vanguard 6. Blue Stars 7. Mandarins 8. Cadets 9. Blue Knights 10. Phantom Regiment 11. Cavaliers 12. Academy 13. Madison Scouts 14. Crossmen 15. Colts 16. Troopers 17. Music City 18. Pacific Crest 19. Genesis 20. Jersey Surf I would so love to see the Blue Stars finish in that spot; unfortunately, that's just a dream prediction that you have posted. I was at their rehearsal, last night, and they have a lot of work to do just to place 8th, this year. They have a really nice show; but it's not Top 7, sadly. In reality, and depending on how the rest of the competition is; I'm thinking more like 9th or 10th for them. Their hornline and guard will keep them from finishing in 11th or 12th. No hate; just realistic observations. I hope I'm proven wrong.

I think this is the year for them to win brass. We’ll see though I obviously haven't listened to them in person but based on the concert in the park video I listened to, they don't sound nearly as good as several other corps I've already also heard

I wouldn’t gauge Boston’s brass quality on that.

In the 12(?) years that Ryan George has arranged for Boston, Boston has not produced anything greater than a 5th place hornline. Don't think it's very far fetched to be extremely skeptical that they're somehow going to win the Ott this year when other corps also have their better arrangers returning. I will be interested to see how SCV fares without JD Shaw 1
