BD narration

I'd like to throw Cadets 2014 onto the pile.

Eh, I didn't like the theme, but the actual narration was done way better than any other corps I've seen. Professional, live, and contained.

That's what he said...that's what Cap-py-bara said.

so - just one more thought on 17 after rewatching finals a couple times and thinking for a week

I don't know if I've seen a recent corps step up the way BD did non finals night and just "TAKE" the championship - WOW

A standing O after the ballad. A standing O for like the last minute of the show.

The performance level was just off the charts on finals night for BD - simply AMAZING imo

Cadets 2007... such a waste of a monster corps :( If anyone has a recording of that show without the god awful narration, please send it to me!

Cadets 2007 was one of the best corps ever. I get the dislike of the narration / I really do

But darn they should have won by a mile

We DO have a "take no prisoners" mentality when it comes to competing...especially during finals.

Been that was since before i marched, and is a common refrain on the alum boards.

Killer instinct for sure. Staff does a great job of preparing and resting the corps for the final week. Two out of three years now, the corps has maxed out on finals night. 2016 wasn't a slouch either.

The opening and closing narration set the theme of the show. The later voiceovers  I found unnecessary cool as they were.

However, the front the brassline marched backwards on the oblique was one of the most difficult and well done drill moves of the entire championships and ranks among the top of what I have witnessed in my 50 plus years of the activity. Well done, well done.

Yeah, they had some deceptively difficult moves (the rotation into the echelon as the form built from the outside in was bomb) and handled them well. The Jerry Seawright voiceovers were really meaningful to BD alumni, probably not so much for the average fan that don't know who that was. Brought tears to my eyes every time though. What a great man and a visionary. Rihanna samples...hated them at first but they grew on me. Still one of the great BD programs of all time.
