If you think Boston and Crown are on the same level in terms of brass, go listen to both, live!  There's a big difference and Boston is a notch down IMO.

My point is not about one element in the production but the sum of all elements within the production. No argument about the brass.

To your point, it is pretty amazing how many corps are using dance companies to develop shows nowadays.  I don't think many people are aware that Bloo's Downside Up was based on a dance company's performance with ramps.  BD had one show where I saw someone post videos of a dance company that inspired it (really wish I remembered which one).  Heck, Crown's prop from Beast has even appeared on America's Got Talent a few years back.

I had a small talkative group of high schoolers sitting behind me in Lisle. Between performances I told them I'd give them half my 50/50 raffle tickets if they could correctly answer a show related question. The question: "True or false? It's inconsiderate to talk during a show."

...but guard is!  Guard bleeds into everything these days.

What is see is that Crown is cleaner in everything compared to Boston, except guard. 

I think Boston's visual GE is better than Crown, but in the end, I just think Crown is better technically. Anyway, they're close.

They both need to watch out for The Cavaliers!!!! 😁
