I was definitely there - for years - not understanding why BD was scoring so well and winning all the time. I don't know, something changed last year, and I somehow finally got it. But yes, I had an enormous anti-BD bias for years - 2009, 2012, 2014 (I thought that score was absurd) and 2015 were rough. I don't like that they win all the time, but I certainly now understand why they score so well. Someday you may decide that you were right before to dislike BD and wrong now to like them. My two cents: people who complained that BD was going out of its way to be obscure in 2012 were quite correct.

There's a great high cam video of BD's show out there if you look for it. They're marching formal drill more than any of the top 3 Absolutely. Everyone has some element of scatter drill in their programs. I was very critical of BD in the past, but I way over exaggerated the amount they actually did. They have a great, much more traditional drill, this year imo.

I like a handful of shows better than theirs this year, but I am starting to like it more and more and more. While I may not love their show, I certainly can appreciate the design and the tremendous talent those members have, especially the guard. I hope I never decide to hate them or anyone again. Off tangent here, but my life has been all about peace. That's all I want, and that includes letting go of my hatred of BD.

Bloo’s is written well but not better than BD. Bloo’s conceptual narrative isn’t as refined I’m sorry friend, but it’s my personal opinion that your statement is off-base. BD bangs you over the head with what their show is. “We’re making up a story out of a classic American painting” doesn’t really leave you with anything to take away for yourself. It’s a good story, and a cool idea. Doesn’t require much introspection and thought about what it means to you personally. Bloo gives you a little bit more room to think and take away what you like while still following their idea to an extent.

SCV may be more disjointed, but from a high prospective, it's more traditional than you give it credit for. I would agree to the last 3rd of Bloos show, but the first 2/3 is the hardest and cleanest drill this year

I honestly think you need to really try to see what BD is doing next time you see them. There is a lot of demand in their visual program. There is. That's why they are being rewarded. Rotating boxes, and fast speeds are definitely very demanding, but there are other things that include demand that don't involve fast rotating boxes. I can tell you, 2017 and 2018 and have been so much more enjoyable for me, since I tossed my hatred for BD away. Not saying you hate them, but for me, I absolutely did, and was angry most of the season. Good to have that out of my life. Isn't BD famous for the rotating box that shrinks and enlarges as it moves across the field??? That's been an addition in quite a few of their shows this past decade. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills reading some of these comments
