It's not an issue of too much drill. It is an issue of overall design. The other 4 in the top 5 all have better designs than Crown. Talent was holding them up for much of the season and now that's starting to slip. People who think Crown has too much drill, too much exposure, too much visual difficulty and just need to clean are all wrong. The issue isn't any of that, it's a very messy visual design with elements that don't make sense and overall poor construction (except the drill), but drill is such a small part of visual these days.13 points

Every time you say that people aren’t using the app, Crown fans increase the number of people they say use it by a decimal. 10k will be using it tonight in Atlanta and 100k tomorrow at NightBEAT9 points

Heading home from the show. This was my partner’s first exposure to drum corps, will be giving both mine and her thoughts on all the shows in a bit! Definitely saw things a bit differently with a live read. Had fantastic seats btw, We had a canopy right above us similar to the Massillon show that enhanced the sound very well8 points

People complaining or making excuses against these corps implementing extreme protocols don't give a sh about the activity or these kids. We should all want every member of every corps healthy and able to march, especially when Indy comes around. I see the groups surrounding batteries during their pre-show warm-ups and it makes me cringe. It's time to tell everyone to stay the he77 away.8 points

When recaps are "all over the place", it likely means the judges are scoring what is on the field and not slotting. You're talking about 4 corps within 2 pts of one another and captions decided by a tenth here or there, and you're surprised by this? People have no idea what they want... Do you want judges to judge what's on the field or slot?8 points

So we can’t discuss our opinions because you deem it as “bashing”?? I will go on record to say Crown probably has maybe the hardest show this year… I will also say the design is failing the talent of the MMs as MANY others here have said. If that is “bashing” or “tasteless” than maybe DCP is too much for you.7 points

I agree, Barneveld. This Boston supporter is not whining either. I, too, fell asleep last night. These central time zone shows complete with rain delays are brutal on us East Coasters. I would have slept through the night but I got a text from a BAC horn player around 1:45 my time very excited about the job they did. He said the staff is keeping them focused like a laser beam on the performance levels and they can't wait for tonight. He did tell me that as of right now, nobody in Boston is sick. It would seem as though the corps being sealed away in a giant mayonnaise jar under Funk and Wagnell's porch is working...for now. (And I just lost everyone under the age of 50.....) Anyway, CRUSADE ON!7 points

I think you shouldn’t get hung up on the specific “watching from the stands” part. The point they’re trying to make is stay away - period. I don’t think anyone is worried about the corps catching it from the stands. They’re worried about the labor and distraction involved in trying to control where spectators go and what they do when they leave the stands. A blanket ban sends the message clearly: Stay away, for the health of the corps. We have to remember that these people are trying to feed, teach, house etc. the MMs on top of keeping them safe. Banning spectators as a blanket rule takes the extra work of babysitting and patrolling the spectators off of the staffs’ plates.7 points
